China Airlines is further boosting operation on Taipei Taoyuan – Yangon service for the third time in less than 6 months, as the Skyteam member will operate daily service on this route starting 29OCT12.

CI on 14MAY12 introduced 4th weekly service, and is adding 5th weekly flight from 10SEP12.

As per 31AUG12 GDS timetable and inventory display, China Airlines plans to increase capacity on Taipei Taoyuan – Sapporo service, with Boeing 747-400 aircraft operating instead of A330-300.
The 747 is planned to operate from 20JAN13 to 16FEB13.

China Airlines from 28OCT12 is changing operational frequencies for International service out of Kaohsiung in Southern Taiwan.

Kaohsiung – Tokyo Narita service will reduce from 3 to 2 weekly, as Mondays service is cancelled.
The operational aircraft for this route on Mondays (737-800) will shift to Kaohsiung – Bangkok,
where overall service increases from 4 to 5 weekly.

CI va succomber à l'appel du T-7 à son tour

China Air Lines has received approval from its board to place an order for six Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The announcement was made on the Taiwan Stock Exchange, but details were scant.

A spokeswoman contacted said the board's decision was made on 6 December and that the Taiwanese airline will now work with Boeing on the formal order. She declined to say when the aircraft will be scheduled for delivery.

Last month, China Airlines told Flightglobal that it was assessing the Airbus A350-1000 and the 777-300ER to replace some of its aging and fuel-hungry Boeing 747-400s.
