Saudi LCC flynas looks to lease A330s for longhaul flights in 2014

Flynas (XY, Riyadh) is looking to expand into the long-haul sector using leased A330s to connect Jeddah with London, Paris, Casablanca Int'l as well as India and Pakistan.
The planned route expansion is expected to take effect in the second quarter of 2014. Currently, using a fleet denominated by A320-200s, the Saudi LCC covers Saudi Arabia extensively with international connections offered to Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Lebanon, the UAE, Pakistan and Kuwait. “The demand for affordable and convenient travel to Europe is on the rise – London was the most popular overseas destination among Middle East travelers during the recent Eid Al Adha break,” CEO of Nas Holding, Sulaiman Al-Hamdan, told Trade Arabia. “The expansion into the long haul destinations builds on our new strategic direction to carry 20 million passengers per year by 2020 across a much wider cross-section of the Middle Eastern passenger profile."
