Dubai Airshow 2011

Message par Skysurfer »

Gros contrats en vue pour ce 10ème Dubai Airshow qui se déroule du 13 au 17 novembre.

Premières rumeurs insistantes :
Qatar Airways : 5 A380 + 50 A320neo > valeur contractuelle : $6,5 milliards
Emirates : 30 à 50 B77W > valeur contractuelle : entre $8,5 et $14,5 milliards
Alafco : …A320neo

DUBAI: Qatar orders up to 80 A320neos and eight A380s

Qatar Airways has agreed to acquire up to eight more Airbus A380s and up to 80 A320neos after last-minute efforts to flesh out a deal at the Dubai air show.

The Doha-based carrier will also have first delivery of all three re-engined A320 variants.

Chief executive Akbar Al Baker sealed the deal for the aircraft after a chaotic scene earlier in the day. He had cancelled a press conference and publicly criticised Airbus at a follow-on event during which Qatar ordered Boeing 777 freighters.

Airbus put the catalogue price at $6.4 billion.

DUBAI: Airbus secures order for first ACJ321

Switzerland-based charter group Comlux ordered the aircraft, which it plans to receive in 2014. The company already operates the ACJ318, ACJ319 and ACJ320, and will be the first to have the entire family in its fleet.

"Airbus's ACJ321 will enable us to offer our passengers even more of the comfort and space that are the hallmarks of the Airbus corporate jet family, while delivering the highest standards in service on board," said Comlux CEO Richard Gaona.

The Comlux ACJ321 will be outfitted by Comlux America, and powered by CFM International CFM56-5B engines. It will be delivered in 2013, and enter into service the next year, said Gaona.

Airbus said that the ACJ321 has the widest and tallest cabin of any business jet in service, and offers even more floor space and baggage capacity than the other members of the family of aircraft.

"Adding the Airbus ACJ321 to our corporate jet family gives our customers an even wider choice," said John Leahy, Airbus chief operating officer customers.

"There are around 24 to 25 757s in service with governments around the world. They are good aircraft, but highly fuel inefficient. We aim to replace every single one of those aircraft with the ACJ321," he added

Airbus Wins Order From Mexico's Volaris For 44 A320 Aircraft

Airbus said Wednesday it has netted an order worth more than $3.9 billion at list prices from Mexican low-cost airline Volaris for 44 of its A320 single-aisle, medium-haul A320s, including 30 of the A320neo, a version with new, more fuel-efficient engines.

Volaris, Mexico's second-largest airline after Aeromexico, will decide on its choice of engine at a later date, Airbus said.

The Volaris order is a memorandum of understanding, or a non-binding commitment to buy.

The A320, Airbus's hottest-selling plane, retails for $85 million apiece on the basis of Airbus's price list. The new engine option model that will be entering service with customer carriers in 2015 costs an extra $6.2 million. However, airlines that make bulk aircraft purchases typically negotiate deep discounts or other sweeteners in the form of deals for maintenance, parts or training.

Earlier Wednesday, Airbus said it had booked orders for 211 aircraft worth $20.5 billion over the past three days at the Dubai Air Show.

The order tally included 130 firm orders for A320neos, bring the total order book for this new version that got the green light from Airbus's board in December to 1,420. Airbus expects its overall order intake for the full year to top the 1,500 mark
