OLT Express Germany gets new owners – Panta Holdings

OLT Express Germany stated (08-Aug-2012) it has a new investor – Dutch financial investment firm Panta Holdings BV following the withdrawal of its previous owners, Amber Gold. Under the umbrella of Panta Holdings BV, Bremen-based OLT Express Germany will continue with its previously announced expansion plans across destinations in Germany and Europe, including launching new service to Stuttgart, Berlin and Vienna. This will be supported by the carrier's takeover of Contact Air Stuttgart operations. Panta Holdings BV has been active in the aviation industry with Dutch company Denim Airways and the leasing company Mass lease. In addition, Panta is involved with Avcorp Industries. It was also involved with VLM Airlines prior to its sale to Air France-KLM.

OLT Express details major network/fleet cuts

OLT Express Germany has now detailed its plans to massively cut its operations from German regional airports from early January 2013 with plans to cut up to five of its ten Fokker 100 from the fleet.

It will permanently cancel its routes from Dresden (DRS) to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International (BUD) and London Southend (SEN), from Münster/Osnabrück International (FMO) to Berlin Schönefeld (SXF), Milan Malpensa (MXP), Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Stuttgart Echterdingen (STR) as well as from Saarbrücken Ensheim (SCN) to Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel (HAM), London Southend (SEN) and Vienna International (VIE).
It will also temporarily not serve Vienna International (VIE) from Dresden (DRS), Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (FKB) and Münster/Osnabrück International (FMO) until the end of March.
With its remaining fleet of five Fokker 100s, four Saab 2000s and a single Saab 340A, OLT will continue to operate from its home base Bremen to Copenhagen Kastrup (CPH), Toulouse Blagnac (TLS) and Zurich Kloten (ZRH), from Dresden to Hamburg and Zurich, from Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden to Hamburg and from both Münster/Osnabrück and Saarbrücken to Munich Franz Josef Strauss International (MUC).
OLT has also announced at the same time, that partner Swiss has no longer extended the wet-lease agreement for two Fokker 100s and that EADS has terminated its sales and distribution agreement with OLT from the end of 2012. OLT had provided IT services to EADS for several years for corporate shuttle flights between Airbus Industrie and Eurocopter factory locations but has now lost this contract to Germania(which had previously already won the charter agreement for the most important of these shuttle routes between Hamburg Finkenwerder (XFW) and Toulouse Blagnac (TLS) from OLT).
