Planned service resumption dates for these routes in 2013 will be announced in the coming months.

Estonian Air Gradually Transitions to Embraer E170/190 Fleet in W12

Estonian Air in Winter 2012/13 is gradually transitioning its fleet to Embraer E170/190 family, as it gradually replaces Boeing 737-500 and CRJ900 fleet.

Boeing 737 aircraft set to operate last flight in October 2012, followed by CRJ900 on 30MAR13.
Embraer E190 aircraft to enter service from Feb 2013. Details:

Estonian to cut fleet to five jets from March

Estonian Air has announced that it will cut its fleet down to just five regional jet aircraft from the beginning of the IATA summer timetable period on March 31. It currently operates three CRJ-900s as well as four EMB-170s on dry-lease from Finnair and is currently negotiating with Bombardier, Embraer and Finnair to find a solution allowing it to operate either five CRJ-900s or five Embraer regional jets going forward.
Estonian also has three EMB-175s and one EMB-190 on order from Embraer and initially had plans to lease two additional EMB-190s to replace its CRJ-900 fleet. The first two EMB-190s were expected to be delivered in March of this year. Estonian will close its regional carrier Estonian Air Regional which currently operates two Saab 340As and one Saab 340B.

Flybe Negotiating Over Possible Estonian Air Merger

British airline Flybe has confirmed that it has held talks with the Estonian government about a possible merger with Estonian Air.

No definitive decision has been reached nor a time frame set, reported Eesti Päevaleht.

Rasmus Ruuda, a spokesman for the Ministry of Economic Affairs, also said that talks have taken place, but disclosed no further information.

A merger with Flybe would be possible only if Estonian Air is allowed to go bankrupt first, the paper reported.

Estonia’s national carrier has been leaking funds and recently received 8.3 million euros in loans from the government, which has been searching for a long-term and profitable plan for the airline's future.

- un FlyBe ireland made by ryanair
- annonce "pas interesséz par CityJet"
et en remontant un peu plus dans le temps des suppressions lignes/bases / personnel
et la ... Estonian Air
... mm si ce n'est pas une mauvaise nouvelle pour renforcer un pole regional européen c'est + le moment de l'annonce qui (me) surprend
et pour etre + precis sur cette opération ... si elle va a son terme ... selon CAPA
