HiFly (5K, Lisbon Portela de Sacavem (LIS)) has applied for an air operator certificate in Malta according to a report by the Times of Malta. It plans to transfer some of its wide-body aircraft currently registered in Portugal to the new subsidiary and to set up operational offices on the island. HiFly currently operates two A310-300s, three A330-200s, one A330-300, two A340-300s and two A340-500s on behalf of various wet-lease customers.
