La fusion LAN-TAM retardée par l'ouverture d'une enquête au Chili

Le tribunal chilien chargé de la défense de la libre-concurrence (TDLC) a ouvert une enquête sur la fusion annoncée entre la compagnie aérienne chilienne LAN et la brésilienne TAM, qui va retarder le bouclage de cette opération prévu au second semestre.

A compter du 02/08, TAM continuera sa desserte bi-quotidienne d'Orlando à l'année

Starting 02AUG11, TAM is converting 2nd Daily Sao Paulo – Orlando flight to year-round service, on board Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Previously the 2nd Daily flight operates during peak season, which is currently schedule to end on 31JUL11.

TAM, Brazil's largest airline, said it was reducing its planned fleet by four planes to control costs as demand grows more slowly than expected in Brazil's air travel market.

TAM will not renew four aircraft leases as originally planned next year, generating USD$50 million in annual savings and leaving the fleet at 159 planes at the end of 2012 instead of the previously forecast 163, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

"We find an adjustment in our fleet plan necessary to assure profitability in the context of a more modest market," chief executive Libano Barroso said in the statement, citing a forecast of 15 percent to 18 percent demand growth in 2012.

The airline also said it would cut back international flights to Europe, swap some Airbus A340s for A330s to increase fuel efficiency, and add flights to Mexico and Orlando -- moves aimed at saving USD$50 million annually.

Last year TAM announced plans for a takeover by Chile's LAN, controlled by the Cueto family, which grew their airline into a regional powerhouse with ruthless cost-cutting.

The deal would create Latin America's largest airline, if approved by Chile's antitrust tribunal.

TAM executives said this month that they expect final approval for the merger by the first quarter of 2012.

Handicapé et oublié dans l’avion par TAM Airlines

Marcelo Rubens Paiva, écrivain brésilien paraplégique, a été oublié pendant 40 minutes par le personnel de TAM Brazilian Airlines après un atterrissage à l’aéroport de Sao Paulo (Brésil). C’est grâce à un Tweet via son téléphone portable qu’il a pu avertir de cet incroyable oubli.

Dimanche 22 juillet à 18 h20, l’avion de TAM Airlines atterrit sur l’aéroport Congonhas de Sao Paulo au Brésil. Les passagers sortent tous un par un, puis le personnel navigant. Du personnel de nettoyage puis du service catering entre et sort. Puis, la dernière hôtesse de l’air part avec son sac. Il ne reste bientôt plus à bord que Marcelo Rubens Paiva, 53 ans. Or, ce dernier, en fauteuil roulant depuis 32 ans, ne peut désembarquer seul. Il s’aperçoit un peu tard qu’on l’a définitivement oublié et se servira de son téléphone portable pour envoyer un tweet sur le réseau social : « La TAM m’a oublié à l’intérieur d’un avion. Vol 3971. A Congonhas. Quelqu’un peut-il appeler et demander de l’aide ? ». Il ne sortira qu’à l’arrivée de l’équipage pour le prochain vol. Au total, son attente sera de 40 minutes dit-il, 25 minutes selon TAM Airlines, qui ne parle pas d’oubli mais justifie ce retard par le fait que du matériel pour les personnes à mobilité réduite était déjà sollicité ailleurs.

Loin de vouloir faire scandale car pour lui, TAM Airlines est « l’une des meilleures compagnies » en ce domaine, le chroniqueur racontera cette bévue le lendemain dans la journal Estado de Sao Paulo afin de faire prendre conscience de « l’enfer que c’est de prendre l’avion au Brésil ». Car ce n’est pas la première fois que semblable mésaventure lui arrive depuis trente ans qu’il se déplace en avion. Chaise roulante perdue par des compagnies, avion qui décolle en l’oubliant alors qu’il est encore au « milieu de la piste » : « Il m’est déjà tout arrivé ». Cette fois-ci, il aurait pu dérober un avion, a-t-il plaisanté.

TAM Airlines Moves Forward Planned 777-300ER Service to Miami to mid-Oct 2012

As per 27JUL12 GDS timetable and inventory display, TAM Airlines is moving forward planned Boeing 777-300ER operation on Sao Paulo – Miami route. The airline will now start 777-300ER service on this route from 15OCT12, initially operating once a day. Second daily to be operated by the 777 on 12NOV12.

Previously the airline planned to operate 777-300ER service from 12NOV12 on 2 daily flights.

Ce que fait aussi airlinesroute en scrutant GDS et autres outils de programmation resa/vol
... en fait c'est tout le système internet qui est comme ça et bcp sont ravis de voir leurs infos, se diffuser/multiplier pour peanuts ou mm 0 !
Et a ma connaissance il n'y a pas de copyright sur des horaires aériens publiés
