LTE International Airways (LTE Volar Airlines) (Palma de Mallorca) late last night (October 16) "suspended its charter and scheduled operations". The company blamed the shut down on the "financial situation of the company". LTE was the second Spanish airline to fail this week. It was operating seven Airbus A320s.
The company was founded on April 29, 1987 and started operations on November 1, 1987 with three Boeing 757-200s with the assistance and partnership of LTU International Airways (Germany). In 1993 LTU acquired all of the shares from the original founding group of Spanish businessmen. The fleet grew to seven 757s. In May 2001 it was sold to a group of Italian and Spanish entrepreneurs. During 2003 the company also traded under the Volar Airlines brand. In June 2004 the airline was restructured into a new holding group which allowed for recapitalization. A new project was then funded by LTE to create MyWay Airlines (MyAir) as a new low-cost carrier in Italy and subsequently all LTE shareholders exchanged their shares of those of MyWay Airlines. As a result LTE became a subsidiary of MyWay Airlines. It is unclear how this shut down will affect MyAir

Une autre Espagnole aussi
Lagunair ceases all operations
Lagunair Lineas Aereas (Leon) ceased all operations at midnight on October 9. The carrier was suffering from the economic downturn. It also lost the economic backing provided by the Leon Airport Authority and the Castilla-Leon autonomous government. Air Nostrum has taken over all of the routes operated by Lagunair and is in talks about hiring some of the employees.
Lagunair originally commenced operations on September 29, 2003 but suspended operations on January 31, 2005. It was resurrected and resumed operations on March 1, 2005.

Donc situation inquiétante pour My Air (à mon avis)...
